On this page I want to present some of my favorite free accessible WordPress themes.
Some of the themes on this list are created by me. I am not affiliated with the other theme authors, I simply like their themes and I hope you do to.
AeonBlog
Simple and clean accessibility ready blog theme. It comes with easy to use customizer based theme options, copyright text, post templates, sidebar options, meta options, featured image option, excerpt length option, read more text, sticky sidebar, font preview and many more. AeonBlog has soft green and blue colors, and many color options. This is a complete WordPress theme for bloggers.
Gridd
Gridd is an incredibly versatile theme and you can change the layout of the different parts of your webiste in the customizer. Gridd is a fast, high quality theme developed by wplemon.
The theme has a bit of a learning curve, but if you want a theme that you can adapt it is well worth it. It has accessible color options and large font sizes.
Built with Accessibility, performance and SEO in mind, the Gridd theme features a unique layout builder allowing you to create any kind of layout with ease.
Billie
Billie is a responsive, accessible blog theme. The theme has two optional menus (including a social menu), several different sidebars and a footer widget area that will hold any number of widgets.
The theme is compatible with the new block editor, and also includes a Call To Action button and two page sections that you can combine with your front page.
I recommend that you install the Jetpack plugin to make full use of supported features like featured content, contact forms, testimonials, social sharing and more. To create a portfolio, install Jetpack and create your projects, all the templates are already shipped with the theme. Billie also works well with WooCommerce.

Deejay
This theme is suitable if you need a high contrast theme with a dark background. All colors can also be changed in the customizer.
Deejay was designed with musicians, DJ’s and event planners in mind. The theme is accessible and responsive with multiple menus and widget areas as well as color and layout options, including support for a header background video. Deejay has 3 custom widgets for recent posts, recent comments and testimonials (The testimonial widget requires Jetpack).
It also uses the audio and video post formats so that you can showcase your music, and includes a custom post template that lets you hide the author, categories and tags.
Deejay is built to be used with these optional plugins: Events Manager, WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads and Jetpack, so that you can present your events, sell merchandise, share content or display your portfolio and testimonials.
Reykjavik
A beautiful theme in white, dark blue and black. The theme authors describes Reykjavik as a fresh, lightweight accessibility ready WordPress theme.
Koji
Koji is a good accessible theme option for those who wants a flexible grid layout.
Koji is a clean and lightweight theme for bloggers. It features a masonry grid on the archive pages, a beautiful and minimal design, Block Editor/Gutenberg support, widget areas in the sidebar and the footer, infinite scroll loading that can be set to load more posts on button click or when the visitor reaches the bottom of the page, settings for what post meta to display on archive pages and on single posts, icon links to social media pages, custom logo support, a search overlay that can be accessed from any page, and much more
Zeko Lite
A theme in white and black with red accents and a large header area. The theme author describes the theme as:

Period a beautiful theme with a dark header and light colored content area and easy to read fonts.

Farm is one of my more popular accessible themes. This free WordPress theme is a child theme of Embla. The theme is simple and minimal and has a large header image area, cursive fonts and light green accent colors.
Farm is a responsive theme with large header images and a two column grid layout. Present your farm and your staff with the custom staff template, or sell your goods with the help of the WooCommerce plugin.
